On Day 2, the journey heads west from Nairobi towards the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you through the changing landscapes of the Kenyan countryside and the Great Rift Valley before arriving in the Mara. After checking into your accommodation, you can enjoy some time to relax before beginning your safari experience.
The Maasai Mara is one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations and is renowned for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife. On Day 3, enjoy a full-day game drive through the reserve in search of lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and numerous bird species. The Mara is also one of the most important locations associated with the Great Wildebeest Migration, depending on the time of year you travel.
Day 4 provides a change of pace with a combination of Maasai cultural experiences and team-building activities. Discover aspects of Maasai traditions, community life, music, dance, and heritage while participating in carefully planned activities designed to encourage communication, cooperation, leadership, and teamwork. For private groups and organizations, the day’s activities can be adapted according to your objectives and group interests.
On Day 5, leave the Maasai Mara and continue to Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s beautiful freshwater lakes in the Great Rift Valley. The journey offers scenic views of the Kenyan countryside and Rift Valley landscapes. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the lake. Optional activities such as a boat excursion or nature experience can be arranged depending on availability.
The adventure continues on Day 6 as you travel from Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park. Known for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers one of Kenya’s most recognizable safari landscapes. After arriving and checking in, depending on the timing, you may enjoy an introductory game drive.
Day 7 is dedicated to exploring Amboseli. Enjoy a full-day safari across the park’s open plains, wetlands, and wildlife-rich areas. Look for elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and numerous bird species while enjoying the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro when weather conditions permit.
On Day 8, leave Amboseli and return to Nairobi. After several days surrounded by Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes, the return journey provides an opportunity to relax and reflect on the experiences of the safari. Arrive in Nairobi and check into your accommodation.
Day 9 is your Nairobi farewell day. Depending on your group’s interests and schedule, the day can include a selected Nairobi experience, shopping, a relaxed farewell lunch, or time at leisure before your final evening in Kenya. This is also an opportunity for your group to conclude the safari together and celebrate the memories created throughout the journey.
Day 10 marks the end of your Kenyan adventure. After breakfast, Zuru Tena Adventures will assist with your departure transfer to the airport or another agreed destination.
